A Rematch Between Woodall And Commissioner Oden
On the April 14th, 2025, podcast of the BCS State of Alabama, Brent Woodall made it clear to Alabama Gazette lead editor Brandon Moseley and me that he is challenging Alabama Public Service Commissioner incumbent Jeremy Oden in the 2026 midterm elections in the GOP primary.
A Bullseye
In this latest Alabama election news, the Colbert County Assistant DA took aim at Commissioner Oden, putting him straight in the crosshairs for robbing Alabama ratepayers with the Public Service Commission's "Hidden Tax." According to Woodall, Jeremy Oden, along with Twinkle Cavanaugh, has taken almost 33 million from the people of Alabama and added it to the general fund instead of giving a rebate to the people.
A Betrayal
Woodall, the 2022 Place 1 Public Service Commission candidate, noted that in the same year, two days after winning the runoff against him, Commissioner Oden, who has spent a lifetime as a career politician in Alabama government, voted to raise the rates on the Yellowhammer State's ratepayers. He also voted to raise them in August and after winning re-election in November.
GOP Primary
The Republican primary in Alabama is scheduled for May 2026.
