Jamel Brown, who is seeking the Democratic nomination for governor in next year's 2026 midterms, recently made noise on The BCS: State of Alabama podcast with co-host Brandon Moseley when he took two of his rivals straight into his crosshairs.

Brown, a Montgomery minister, pulled no punches when speaking about former Senator Doug Jones and 2022 Democratic gubernatorial candidate Chad Chig Martin, calling Jones "weak" and Martin "irrelevant."

Brown, who boasts over 100,000 Facebook followers, believes his social media presence will be the key to his victory in next May's Democratic primary.

Admitting he voted for President Donald Trump in all three of his campaigns, Brown believes he is "the savior" of the Democratic Party who will lead Democrats to victory against Senator Tommy Tuberville in next fall’s general election.

Mr. Brown, who is hoping to be the first Democrat elected since former Governor Don Siegelman, will face a crowded field next spring, including not only Jones and Martin but also the 2022 nominee Yolanda Flowers and perennial candidate Dr. Will Boyd, the 2022 Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate.

The primary will be held next May 19th.
