Prince Allen’s Pity Party: This is a Republic, Not a Monarchy

By Christopher M. Peeks January 23, 2026

The candidates in the May GOP Primary for Lieutenant Governor are set, and Secretary of State Wes Allen is acting like the spoiled, snot-nosed brat he is over the fact that the Alabama GOP Chairman, John Wahl, dared to enter the contest.

Can you imagine the nerve of him running against "Prince Allen"? Does he not know that office belonged to this "daddy’s boy" who has had everything given to him on a silver platter—from being a tackling dummy for the real football players at the University of Alabama to being chosen by former Alabama Governor Bob Riley for probate judge in Pike County by way of his father?

I guess someone needs to inform the Secretary of State—whose job is to make our elections secure—that in our Republic, anybody can run for office if they choose, and the voters can freely pick whom they want.

This little fella in a social media post further revealed what we already knew: he is a petty little man. Where to start? First, he made the erroneous claim that he made our elections the most secure in America (nope, that was John Merrill), but the worst of it is the disrespect he showed the Alabama GOP Chairman, John Wahl.

We already know what a spiteful man he is. We all saw how he looked at Dean Odle the other night in the Lieutenant Governor’s debate for calling him out for raising your taxes on the gas hike a few years ago. But the most despicable thing is that he let his bigotry rear its ugly head again.

Allen, who has proven what a despicable racist he is by trying to strip naturalized citizens of the same rights we all enjoy—namely, the ability to run for office—has now disrespected the chairman by referring to him by his first name, "Nehemiah." This is a blatant act of anti-Semitism. Why are you pointing out that he has a Hebrew name, Secretary Allen? Why did you not refer to him as John?

Secretary, you can get mad all you want, but your privileged life does not count here. We the people don't owe you the Lieutenant Governor's office. Your prejudice has no place in this state, and you owe the citizens of Alabama—and most importantly, John Wahl—an apology.
