Casey Dixon, a candidate for AL-House District 6, challenging incumbent Gary Palmer, recently joined the BSC State of Alabama podcast with co-host Brandon Moseley.

Dixon, a father of two young girls who works in healthcare, is making his first run for public office at the age of 25, taking on the long-serving Palmer. Embracing his youth, he tackled what would be an obstacle head-on, saying the reason he chose to "run for Congress instead of a lower office and working his way up" is that he didn't want to make this a career. "There are things he wanted to do on the federal level." He didn't "want to spin his wheels."

Even though he favors an America First policy like President Trump, Dixon is far from MAGA. Articulate and well-spoken, he is not afraid to voice his opposition to Trump sending troops into the nation's inner cities and waging war on Venezuelan drug cartels. He reminds one of Dr. Ron Paul.

Dixon says he is not an "isolationist," but supports bringing all US troops abroad home, cutting off all military as well as humanitarian aid. He also wants the US to pull out of NATO as well as the UN.

The GOP primary will be held next May 19.
