Quit While You Are Ahead
When examining political careers one mist harken back to a marquee line in an old Country and Western song by kenny rogers called the gambler. A line in that song, most elegantly espouses, "you got to know when to fold em." Robert Mccollum should heed these words of advice.
Perennial Candidate Robert Mccollum
Perrenial candidate Robert Mccollum first burst onto the scene in 2022 when he challenged Chip Beeker for the PSC. Mccollum, at first offered a bright fresh choice as opposed to the condrum of the now four time loser Robin Litaker.( Dr. Litaker take note I spelled your name right) and as quickly as Mccollum emerged he soon fizzled out like a Fourth of July bottle rocket with a short fuse.
A Missed Opportunity
Ironically, we would be void of Robert Mccollum had I not felt incumbent upon myself to talk him out of challenging Tallapoosa Probate Judge Tal East in 2024. Had I not talked Robert out of that race Judge East would have captured 88% of the vote and Mccollum would or should have been to embarrassed to run again.
Unliked
If only I had put him out of his misery he would not endure this kind of humiliation again. You see in the 2024 election Mccollum, challenging PSC President Twivkle Cavanaugh, while attending no campaign events and spending zero dollars recieved almost 40% of the vote statewide yet he only got 32% of the electorate in his home county of Tallapoosa. Before that In the primary and run off in 2022 he only garnered 37% despite the fact his grandfather having the same initials served as the rural postal carrier.
A Joke
The fact that the people of your home county overwhelming chose your opponents speaks volumes. Robert Mccollum, aka 'Shorty Price,' takes Rodgers words and 'fold em', The electirate does not like you. Stop embarrassing yourself.
Get Over It
I know hearing this this is hard but you will be strong. We will get through this together and you will be better person because of it.
