On the BCS. State of Alabama podcast hosted by Alabama Political Contributor website owner Christopher M Peeks and lead reporter, lead editor and content manager for the Alabama Gazette Brandon Moseley interviewed House District 54 Representative Neil Rafferty.
The two-term Marine Corps veteran of the Iraqi War pulled no punches when addressing his Senate colleagues on the gambling bill. Representative Rafferty had this to say when asked if the voters would ever get a chance to vote on gambling in the state of Alabama.
"The House has done their job with a gambling bill and the Senate is the one that messed it up last time to talk to the Senate about gambling. That's what I'm going to say to that. We put in all the work effort for a long time. Bipartisan, no special interest groups were involved in it, put out a product, worked it, worked it, and the Senate blew it up. So you got to talk to them about what we're going to do with gaming."
