On a recent podcast episode of the BCS, State of Alabama with co-host Brandon Moseley, State Auditor candidate Joshua Pendergrass spoke on his campaign, saying that "commitment to election security" is his number one issue.
On why he is running, Mr. Pendergrass said he is "bringing a passion to love to serve people," emphasizing that he is not in this race to rise the political ladder; "I don't need a job; I am running to serve people and make a difference in people's lives, and we can do that by protecting people's investments in state property."
Furthermore, on why voters should choose him, he said, "my background is unique and that's what sets me apart from my opponents."
The GOP primary for State Auditor will be held next May. The other two announced candidates are businessman Robert McCollum and attorney Derek Chen.
