U.S. Senate Candidate Rodney Walker Demands Senate Action on SAVE Act and Women’s Sports Amendment

By Staff Writer March 22, 2026

Lineville, AL — Republican U.S. Senate candidate and local businessman Rodney Walker is calling on the Senate to end the "political theater" and pass the SAVE America Act. In a statement released Wednesday, Walker emphasized that ensuring only citizens vote and protecting the integrity of women’s sports are common-sense measures backed by the majority of Alabamians.

The SAVE America Act, which passed the House in February, would require documentary proof of citizenship—such as a birth certificate or passport—to register for federal elections. Walker argues that while non-citizen voting is already illegal, the act provides the necessary enforcement to protect the ballot box.

"Every legitimate voter should want that," Walker stated. "Anyone fighting this bill owes Alabamians an explanation."

Beyond border and election security, Walker is pushing for a permanent federal ban on biological males competing in women’s sports. While current protections exist via executive order, Walker warned that such measures are easily overturned by future administrations. He insists that Congress must codify these protections into federal law to ensure long-term stability for female athletes.

"Women worked too hard for too long to have their opportunities taken away," said Walker. "Congress needs to lock this in, permanently."

Walker, who manages interests in construction, cattle, and fuel, framed the current Senate gridlock as a symptom of a Washington culture that prioritizes talk over results. He pledged that, if elected, his focus would remain on delivering the specific legislative outcomes Alabamians are demanding.
