Representative Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) informed her donors that internal polling for her Senate campaign indicates that Vice President Kamala Harris may not be well-regarded in Michigan. According to a video obtained by Axios, Harris is reportedly polling unfavourably in the state.

This information is significant because securing victory in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania is crucial for Harris' chances of winning the election. If former President Trump manages to win in the Sun Belt states, he would only need to secure victory in one of these Blue Wall states to win the election.

While it's common for a candidate to present themselves as the underdog in the polls as a fundraising tactic, Slotkin expressed her concerns to donors by stating, "I'm not feeling my best right now about where we are on Kamala Harris in a place like Michigan."
