Trump surging in the polls as a vital part of the Democratic base abandons Harris

The Harris campaign receives more bad news as polls continue to roll in. Recent data by Atlas Intel revealed that the Vice President trailed Donald Trump in crucial swing states. Now, Harris is hit with figures showing her support shrinking among voters vital to her candidacy.

Kamala Harris's backing among Latino voters is the lowest in four previous presidential elections. Her lead over former President Trump stands at a precarious 14 points, 54% to 40%. With 6% undecided.

She polls better than when Biden held the top spot, but Trump has cut in half the 29-point edge the Democrats held in 2020. The same decline is seen in congressional support as well. In that poll, the Democrats held a 12 point respectively.

Trump's rising charge is fueled by non-college-educated males under 50. The key issues causing the hemorrhaging of this crucial Democratic demographic are the ones topping every voter's list: inflation, economy, and border security.

The poll was conducted Sept. 16-23 among 1,000 registered Latino voters. The margin of error is plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.
